Water Quality
Otago South River Care currently undertakes sampling at 30 locations throughout the Clutha District, five times per year. The locations were selected through discussions with farmers from throughout the area. We take the following tests:
Nitrate nitrite nitrogen
Ammoniacal nitrogen
Dissolved reactive phosphorus
Turbidity
E.coli
Stream Health
In addition to our physico-chemical testing, we also take macroinvertebrate samples once per year in summer. These tests give us a much better understanding of the health of the streams and rivers over the long-term.
eDNA
