Community planting day: Lake Tuakitoto
On the 12th April, we held a community planting day at Lake Tuakitoto, where thanks to the help of more than 40 volunteers, we planted over 600 native plants.
Most of these plants are locally sourced, thanks to Simon Davies for preparing the flaxes and raupo and the O’Callghans for the majority of the rest of the plants.
We are also grateful for support from OCC - Otago Catchment Community Inc and Otago Regional Council staff and councillors today, and Downie Stewart Lawyers, many hands make light work!
